Hoppy Easter!

This Easter was especially fun because Ethan is old enough to understand it more. After getting a glimpse of the Easter Bunny at the mall last week, he couldn't stop talking about him. He kept saying, "Easter Bunny...chockit (chocolate)...presents!" We spent Saturday evening dyeing Easter eggs which was no easy task with a 2 year old. He absolutely loved it though and would have done every egg in the refrigerator we had if we had let him.

On Sunday morning, we did an egg hunt which he got really excited about. Then Ethan looked through his easter basket which had chocolate, a Dora video, sunglasses, an Elmo coloring book and a few other little things. To Ethan, it was almost like re-living his birthday! I'm understanding now that it is way more fun to be the parent watching your child get excited about things!

After church, we went to Blake's family's house where Ethan got to do another egg hunt and then we ate a wonderful Easter dinner (thanks Gemma)! All in all it was a wonderful day. Although it was filled with fun and treats, we also were able to enjoy a beautiful church service which reminded us of the blessings of the resurrection. We couldn't quite get Ethan to say "r-e-s-u-r-r-e-c-t-i-o-n" but maybe next year he'll get it!

Ethan tries to dunk the egg but can't manage to do it without his whole hand in the dye!
Look at that little face - Ethan was having a blast!!
Not only is it an egg filled with candy, it's a BASEBALL egg. Does it get any better than that?
Ethan with his loot!
All decked out in his new Easter outfit. So "GQ"!

Jen, I am so excited to have your blog address. Ethan is so darling. We would love to have him (and you) come over to play soon. For me, dying eggs is a love/hate relationship. It's fun and stressful.
