Ethan at 15 Months!

On Monday, Ethan officially turned 15 moths old. He had a doctor appointment on Tuesday so I thought I'd take a minute to write about Ethan's progress at this age.

Weight: 23 lbs. (40th percentile)
Height: 32.5" (90th percentile)

Ethan can say a few words like da-da, ba-da (which means ma ma), tickle, and what (at least that's what we think he's saying). He also says hello although it doesn't really sound like it. But, we know that's what he's saying every time he picks up the phone. He jabbers a TON but we have no clue what he's saying. It's actually pretty hilarious to carry on a conversation with him.

His favorite foods are cheese, goldfish crackers, macaroni and cheese, turkey, chicken, hot dogs, carrots, mandarin oranges, grapes, ravioli, and marshmallows (an occasional treat he gets from Grammy).

Ethan LOVES his swing and loves stacking the blocks he got from Gemma. He also loves getting into the pots and pans and the desk drawer which holds the calculator and some batteries. He walks very well but has an occasional fall which breaks our hearts. He's tough though so he recovers quickly. He loves playing with any kind of ball he can find: baseballs, soccer balls, footballs...you name it. He is definitely a little boy!

He loves watching Barney in the car and driving with the moon roof open. Unfortunately he still thinks it's funny to throw his food on the floor when he's done eating. He's a decent sleeper and sleeps from about 7:30 p.m. to 6:15 a.m. (a nice change from 5:30 a.m. which he was doing for quite a while). If only we could get him to take naps for longer than 30 minutes! He loves to tickle his daddy and meet him for lunch. When we go outside, his favorite thing to do is to pick wild flowers. He is totally fascinated with them and will play with them forever.

Ethan also loves to conduct music whenever he hears it (particularly in sacrament meeting at church which always gets people snickering). He also loves getting ready for bed because that means he gets to brush his teeth. He feels like such a big boy when we let him do it himself (after we brush them).

We, of course, think he's the greatest little guy ever and feel so blessed to have him in our lives. He's our little angel!

Those are such cool things! And what a great eater he is. Count your blessings.

Loves the moonroof open, huh? Maybe Aunt Nic is going to have to put a carseat in the back of the Wrangler . . .
