Christmas/New Year's at the Coopers

This holiday season was a great one for us. I promised Blake I would do my best to get things ready ahead of time so that I wasn't "stressed out" this year. The best part about the holiday was that Blake was able to get time off between Christmas and New Year's day so we had a nice long break together as a family (that, of course, went by too quickly).

We spent Christmas Eve with the Coopers which was a lot of fun. Ethan got hooked up with a fire truck (see picture below) and some other really fun gifts. Being the only grandchild on Blake's side - Ethan gets no attention at all! :) We enjoyed being together with everyone so much.

Christmas morning we spent at home. Ethan's gifts were not really transportable so we thought it would be fun with just the three of us. Ethan figured out how to say Santa which is more like "Tanta." But, when asked what Santa brings, he immediately responds, "TOYS!" So, for Christmas, Tanta brought him a train table with a Thomas train set, a basketball hoop, small plastic tricycle, and some other little things. He was in toy heaven. Blake got a bunch of clothes, a watch, and some shoes and Jen got pearl earrings and a jewelry armoire.

That afternoon we went to the Pettitt's for more Christmas fun. Once again, Ethan got hooked up with a big tool bench with plastic tools and some other little treats. We had fun singing Christmas carols and eating cinnamon rolls.

Later that evening, the big news came in. It's official. Blake's sister, Nicole got engaged to T.J. Scillieri! They flew down to Disney World in Orlando and had dinner at Cinderella's castle watching the fireworks. Then, they brought out a glass slipper with the ring inside and T.J. proposed! We're so excited for them both!

So, it's been a very fun, exciting holiday. I included some pictures from skiing and our New Year's Eve party which were some of the highlights! Unfortunately we don't have many Christmas photos because we were videotaping most of it and forgot about still shots. Bummer!
